If you enjoy hands on experience, this is the place to be. Join us in the art of shaping heated iron and steel (forging) with hand tools such as hammers, tongs and chisels on an anvil. Apr, 24 2014 706 Views The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement will be celebrating their Bat Night on Friday, May 9, 2014 starting at 6:00 pm - 8:00 CDT. This is a wonderful family event and very educational for one and all. Judy Ludlow from the Calhoun County Extension Office will be making a delightful educational presentation on bats beginning at 6:00 pm at the Frink Gym. After the presentation everyone can mosey outside to the bat box and help us count the bats as they come out of their house for their nightly feeding. Quilt appraisals will be available. There will be a Chinese Auction, Fat Quarters and Fabrics, and a quilt block contest (rules are on our Facebook Events page, or call (850) 674-2777). Lunch will be catered and sold for $5.00 per plate by the General Federation Women's Club of Blountstown. A courtesy tour ticket will be awarded at 10:00 am or 12:00 pm (noon) CST on day of the show.
